BranchPattern Deepens Its Roots in the Southeast
Orlando, Florida – (October 16, 2026) – BranchPattern, a nationally recognized sustainability and engineering firm, has opened a new office in Orlando, creating a landing spot for decades of project work in Florida and deepening its commitment to the clients, communities, and partnerships it has cultivated throughout its 35-year history.
Decades of Project Work, Now a Permanent, Local Home
BranchPattern has supported projects throughout Florida for decades, partnering with organizations including the University of Florida, Highmark Health, Orange County, Signature Aviation, and Affinius Capital. From the communities along US Highway 1 in the Florida Panhandle to Orlando, Tampa, Sarasota, West Palm Beach, and Miami, the firm's work spans a diverse range of markets, including higher education, healthcare, hospitality, residential, and commercial office developments.
More than a new location, the office establishes a central hub for our Florida-based team while further strengthening our national reach. This presence enables us to serve clients across the country while providing greater proximity, responsiveness, and regional insight throughout Florida and the Southeast.
A Purpose-Driven Home at The Conduit
BranchPattern’s new Orlando office is located within The Conduit, a Certified B Corporation that shares our commitment to responsible stewardship and positive social and environmental impact. The Conduit also connects us to an interdisciplinary community where relationships, ideas, and collaboration can create lasting impact.
Leadership Connected to Orlando
The office is anchored by Kristy Walson, a longtime Orlando resident and nationally recognized leader in sustainability and decarbonization. Her involvement in the region has included service across the City of Orlando’s many sustainability programs, the U.S. Green Building Council's Florida Market Leader Advisory Board, and the Florida Solar Energy Center Advisory Board. She recently concluded 10 years of service on the University of Florida’s Green Building Learning Collaborative board, helping guide UF’s Sustainability in the Built Environment degree program in the development of the next generation of sustainability advocates.
“I’ve built relationships throughout Florida over the years, so I’m especially excited to now have a physical space where we can welcome clients, partners, and project teams,” said Kristy Walson, LEED Fellow at BranchPattern. “It gives us a place to bring people together, collaborate face to face, and continue strengthening those connections.”
Growing Alongside Our Clients
The Orlando office anchors BranchPattern's presence in Florida and also reflects how BranchPattern's clients and their needs are evolving. Organizations increasingly seek partners who can connect ambitious sustainability and performance goals with implementation, moving beyond an ESG report or strategic roadmap to practical, measurable solutions across individual buildings and entire portfolios.
“Our clients are asking us to help bridge the gap between ambitious goals and what actually happens in their buildings,” said Pete Jefferson of BranchPattern, Principal. “That means moving beyond strategy to implementation, measurement, and ongoing performance. Our Orlando presence brings us closer to our Florida clients while connecting them to the multidisciplinary expertise needed to turn those goals into tangible results.”
Local Presence. Firmwide Expertise
BranchPattern’s Florida-based team brings local knowledge and hands-on support together with expertise in project management, building performance modeling, and commissioning. Supported by specialists across the firm’s broader disciplines, the team can draw on MEP engineering, sustainability, acoustics, audiovisual, technology, and security expertise throughout the project lifecycle.
As a Florida-based resident and Electrical Engineer at BranchPattern, Omar Tlamcani sees firsthand the value of having the firm's expertise close to the clients and communities it serves.
"Having people on the ground makes a meaningful difference as projects move from planning into construction and operation," said Tlamcani. "We can work side by side with clients and project teams, address challenges in real time, and help translate ambitious performance goals into measurable results."
BranchPattern will celebrate its Orlando presence with a local gathering, bringing together clients, partners, community members, and team members. Additional details will be announced soon.
